Here is my commercial. I decided to go with frame by frame animation because I couldn't really figure out how to do the keyframe animations. It took a while because I had to go and do each frame, but I am pleased with how it turned out. I added music because I didn't want it to be boring and also I felt it was necessary because I am advertising a music product.

Commercial Screenshot!
here is a screenshot from my commercial. i thought i i would stick the basic and make the main guy more of a stick figure, just because making him look like an actual person would take a lot of time. i have him walking on the sidewalk, with the grass, sky, and sun in the background. pretty basic and good for the fact that i am not that great when it comes to working with photoshop.

Advertisments
1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hibyAJOSW8U
This commercial is a commercial by Dove for their real beauty workshops. The commercial basically is showing that most of the models we see in photographs aren't as good looking as they actually appear in pictures. The commercial is directed towards women and I think it does a successful job in showing that many girls are to focused to be beautiful and look like models, when in fact the models themselves don't even look like that.

This commercial is for Six Flags. The commercial has an outside narrators voice from off screen. This ad targets kids and families mostly. It is a very happy and energetic ad and it kind of brings out the little kid inside of you when you see it because it starts off where everyone is bored and doing work, and then once the dancing starts everyone just gets happy and wants to go have some fun.

This commercial is a commercial for a brand of condoms, but it was banned. The ad has annoying little kid screaming and yelling in the grocery store, and it basically is showing you what can happen if you dont use condoms. I think this is a very effective commercial because it shows you one of the negative things that can happen if you dont use a condom, and i would definitely use one after watching that.

This commercial is for Doritos. It is more targeted towards men just based on the fact that every time they ate a chip, a hot girl would appear. Its a funny commercial and it definitely caught my attention and would make me remember the brand, which would lead to me buying it at the store.

This last commercial was for Winston cigarettes. It is a commercial that has the flinstones in it, which makes it comical. You can tell that it is an older commercial because first off it is in black and white. secondly, this commercial they are advertising the product right to your face and talking about the product, as opposed to now a days when commercials have hidden messages. i just thought it was different and cool to see an older commercial.

Business Card Project
Front:
Back:
I had the most difficult with this project because I found InDesign more complex and harder to use than the other programs. Its difficult to just play around with the features on it so I just did the things I could figure out how to use. Also, I couldn't figure out how to make it larger so when you view it you can actually see it. In regards to how I came up with the design, I thought the card looked best when it just had the logo on the front and nothing else. On the back, I only felt it necessary to put my name and contact info. Then when that was the only thing on there, I thought it looked to plain, so I came up with the idea to put music notes along the bottom because my company is all about music, so it just worked really well together. Overall, I am happy with the design I came up with, I just wish I knew how to use InDesign better.

Corporate Identity Questions
1) What is your business?
We make mp3 players.
2) Describe your business in one sentence
We make mp3 players that play songs based on your emotions.
3) Who is your target audience?
Our target audience is typically teens through adults, but really for anyone who likes music.
4) Who are your competitors?
Mainly Apple because it is know by everyone.
5) What makes them better/worse than your product/service?
What makes Apple worse than our company is the fact that their products do not play songs based on your emotions. I feel like that is something that gives us a "one-up" on them. What makes them better than us is the fact that they have more products than just an mp3 player, which makes them more well known because the more products you have, the more people who use electronics will just buy all they need from your business.
6) Do you currently have an identity? (This is more for companies that are already established and you’re just revamping the logo/corporate identity. If you have a new company or product, skip this question.)
NO.
7) (If your answer to #6 is no, skip this question) What do you like about it and what don’t you like about it?
8) How do you want your image to be seen in two years?
We would like to see our business become really popular and known by many people. Hopefully if the mp3 player becomes popular, we can come up with better versions of it and other products along the same line.
These following questions might seem silly, but their purpose is to help generate ideas.
9) If your company was an animal, what animal would it be and why?
I would have to say that our company would be a chameleon because of the fact that products play songs based on your emotions. Chameleons change their color based on their surrounds, which is kind of like our product.
10) If your company/brand was a person, who would it be and why?
If my company was a person, it would be Brad Pitt because he is great at what he does and he is in all different types of movies. Plus, no one really hates on Brad Pitt, aside from Jennifer Aniston.
11) If your company/brand was an object, what would it be?
If my company was an object, it would be a pair of Nike sneakers. Everyone loves Nike and they are constantly coming out with new shoes in a many different colors and designs.
12) If your customer was a cartoon character, who would it be?
If my company was a cartoon character, it would be Spiderman because he started off as an ordinary guy, and one little spider bite changed his life and made him into something amazing.

Lyrical Collage
The lyrics I used are "She's got me losing control" from the song Control by The Icarus Account. I took the fact that he was losing control and going crazy, so I took the guy and put him in a background where its just a straight road and it looks gloomy and stormy out. Then I created the lightning, but instead of just having it come from the sky, I thought it would be better if I made the lightning come out of his hands in red because red signifies anger, and the fact that he is making lightning come from his hands shows that he is angry. I added the red glow to his arms/hands to just add to the fact that it was coming out of his hands in anger.

logo project..
here is my final design for my logo. my item that i decided to design it for is an mp3 player that plays music based on your mood/emotions (kind of like a mood ring). when i first designed the logo, all it had was the name Mp3motion. Then, when i started to do my calligramme project, i made the shape of headphones out of words. while making that, it dawned upon me that the headphones would be a great addition to my logo because it deals with music, which is what my product is all about. so i had it all done in black and white, but i still felt like it was missing something, which was when i added the coloring to the letters of the brand. i chose the multicolored letters because it works well with the fact that my product plays songs based your emotions. so i thought of how a mood ring changes colors, and added multiple colors to the wording.

advertising logos..
This is the logo for General Electric, or GE. I feel that the logo is simple and to the point. It has the "GE" in the center of the logo and whenever someone sees that logo, they automatically know that its for GE. It is not a logo that is targeted for one specific race or gender, which is what makes it such a good logo.
This is clearly the logo for Hershey's Chocolate. I like this logo because of the fact that it actually looks like a Hershey's bar. It makes it noticeable right away and it is really impossible to mistake it for something different.
This is one of the logos used for the PBS children's station. This is an effective logo because it is a bright logo, so it attracts attention to the viewers. I also like it because it does not just target boys or girls, it targets both genders with the faces of a little boy and girl in the logo.
The American Red Cross logo is very simple, yet you cannot mistake it for something different. The red cross in the logo automatically makes you think of the American Red Cross, even if the words "American Red Cross" were not written next to the cross.
The Flintstones logo is a fun and interesting logo. It looks like it was carved from rocks, which is creative in the fact that the Flintstones take place in that era. The bright orange makes it stand out and sort of "pop."

invention ideas..
so heres a few of my ideas that i would like to use for my fictional product project.
1) a universal pill that cures everything, from the common cold to cancer and everything in between.
2) a microwave that does the opposite of what it does not. it cools food down instead of heating it up.
3) a refrigerator that gives you ideas/recipies of what to cook based on what is in your refrigerator/freezer.
4) a replicator, so you can replicate whatever you want, such as food or clothes etc.
5) a teleporter (just cause i've always wanted one)
