logo project..

here is my final design for my logo. my item that i decided to design it for is an mp3 player that plays music based on your mood/emotions (kind of like a mood ring). when i first designed the logo, all it had was the name Mp3motion. Then, when i started to do my calligramme project, i made the shape of headphones out of words. while making that, it dawned upon me that the headphones would be a great addition to my logo because it deals with music, which is what my product is all about. so i had it all done in black and white, but i still felt like it was missing something, which was when i added the coloring to the letters of the brand. i chose the multicolored letters because it works well with the fact that my product plays songs based your emotions. so i thought of how a mood ring changes colors, and added multiple colors to the wording.

advertising logos..

This is the logo for General Electric, or GE. I feel that the logo is simple and to the point. It has the "GE" in the center of the logo and whenever someone sees that logo, they automatically know that its for GE. It is not a logo that is targeted for one specific race or gender, which is what makes it such a good logo.

This is clearly the logo for Hershey's Chocolate. I like this logo because of the fact that it actually looks like a Hershey's bar. It makes it noticeable right away and it is really impossible to mistake it for something different.

This is one of the logos used for the PBS children's station. This is an effective logo because it is a bright logo, so it attracts attention to the viewers. I also like it because it does not just target boys or girls, it targets both genders with the faces of a little boy and girl in the logo.

The American Red Cross logo is very simple, yet you cannot mistake it for something different. The red cross in the logo automatically makes you think of the American Red Cross, even if the words "American Red Cross" were not written next to the cross.

The Flintstones logo is a fun and interesting logo. It looks like it was carved from rocks, which is creative in the fact that the Flintstones take place in that era. The bright orange makes it stand out and sort of "pop."

invention ideas..

so heres a few of my ideas that i would like to use for my fictional product project.

1) a universal pill that cures everything, from the common cold to cancer and everything in between.
2) a microwave that does the opposite of what it does not. it cools food down instead of heating it up.
3) a refrigerator that gives you ideas/recipies of what to cook based on what is in your refrigerator/freezer.
4) a replicator, so you can replicate whatever you want, such as food or clothes etc.
5) a teleporter (just cause i've always wanted one)
